Lyth Hill, Shropshire - sunrise
Lyth Hill provides some wonderful panoramic views of the south Shropshire Hills, from the Wrekin in the east to Wedlock Edge in the south-east, and the Stiperstones in the southwest. The site has areas of woodland, scrub, and open grassland providing a wildlife refuge on the outskirts of Shrewsbury. It is not far from Shrewsbury so a favourite spot of mine to be with nature and of course dog-walkers! I ventured onto the hill this morning to catch the sunrise and seemed to be the first person there. It was bitterly cold and I regretted not wearing a hat! (grid ref: SJ 475070)

Worth getting up early and standing in the cold without a hat - lovely colours and good to see the progression of light.
