Stonebridge Road to Wandlebury

The forecast stated high pressure will continue to bring dry and warm conditions with spells of sunshine and some patchy cloud with temperatures reaching 22 degrees celcius. I was awake at 06:00 and decided to go for my exercise early before everyone else ventured out. I walked from Fulbourn Fen to Wandlebury and only saw two runners as I made my way back across the dry dusty fields. I spotted a Peacock butterfly that persisted in warming its body on the ground and that does not make for a good composition.  It was hazy and I could see the Fulbourn windmill in the distance. I got home to find a squirrel tucking into the bird food.

Fulbourn Fen - Week 3 - Covid 19 stay at home

I visited Fulbourn Fen for the first time. It was great to be out in the open and to see my first clump of Bluebells.  It was easy to keep at a safe distance from the occasional dog waker though one dog may well have greeted me closely if it had not been for the fence.
