Who is eating the roses?

I noticed the rose leaves had been stripped only to discover these caterpillars and I have no idea what they will eventually be. They were very active munching the leaves and hardly stopped to take a rest!

  1. They are the larvae of the Rose Sawfly (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Arge_pagana) - a great photographic subject so worth a bit of time with the macro either in situ or set up in the conservatory to get a simple composition. They look good with all white or all blackbackgrounds.
