Another hour at Polemere Nature Reserve

The Lapwings had returned and were busy preening and flying in pairs. Moorhens, Coots and Canada Geese were feeding and preening.

Moelfre Revisited

Y Dafarn, Moelfre

It was just lovely to visit Y Dafarn this afternoon for a few hours.  The building work is underway to turn the boathouse into  a wonderful residence.   A heat source system is being taken from the 11 acre lake and will supply the build with underfloor heating and provide hot-water, so a Komatsu digger is just the machine to dredge the lake before sinking pipe-work.  The brick-work can then commence to enlarge the boathouse on both sides. The view from the new house will be from the bottom of the lake and a new jetty will be built alongside the house. It is an amazing nature reserve. Thank you Beryl and Clive for a delicious lunch. I think your project is really exciting.
