Lake Vyrnwy, Powis

It was certainly cool enough to snow and driving towards Lake Vyrnwy the hills and distant mountains were snow covered.  The light was not great but it was a delightful area and I believe there is a very good RSPB  centre by the Dam.

Christmas lights in Shrewsbury

It was a chance to have another look at the Christmas lights in Shrewsbury. It just happened that I met three wise men who were keen to be seen.

The Night of Hurricaine Bertie

Kristin and I decided to go our and see what it was like in the town. It was the day before the Christmas lights were to be switched on and it was certainly windy with sign posts, beer cans and autumn leaves flying about. It was impossible to keep the tripod stable so the only resort was to test out a glass of something delicious at the Golden Cross Hotel and Restaurant.

The Clapper, Norbury, Shropshire

All good plans.......  I wanted to walk to the beaches, a beautiful avenue of tree,  from "The Clapper" a farmhouse in Norbury.  But rain stopped play!

Autumn - Bishops Castle and Norbury

I had a few hours to sortie the countryside and set off to Bishops Castle an area where there is no O2 signal so as I had promised to "phone a friend" at a certain time I used the telephone box! The first one I couldn't work and the second took a credit card!

Water Leaks are never much fun

Water leaks certainly make a mess and this is going to take time to sort out.  Firstly,  clearing up the mess, drying out with industrial machines and isolating electrical circuits.  I can't imagine how people felt living with floods on the Somerset levels.
