Morella Spain

Morella is renown for its Castle seen from miles high above the town on a hill. The landscape
views are spectacular as one can see for miles. The old town has many charming narrow medieval streets and there are some magnificent food shops with delicacies such as Truffles, cheeses, honey and meats. We found a lovely restaurant and Cocteleria, Vinatea  where "Fifty Pound Gin" was followed by a wonderful lunch. "Fifty Pounds" Gin takes its name from one of the darkest times in Britain’s past and one of the most controversial in the history of Gin. When Dutch-born William of Orange took the English throne in 1688, England unwittingly (and unintentionally) began its descent into one of the first recorded drug epidemics – with Gin at the heart of it.
