Wengen - Männlichen to Kleine Scheidegg

We reached the Männlichen (2230 m / 7316 ft)  by cable car in five minutes from Wengen. From there, the plan was to follow the  well-prepared path that winds its way through flower-filled alpine meadows along the mountain side of the Tschuggen and the Lauberhorn to the Kleine Scheidegg. Unfortunately, our luggage had not arrived the night we arrived and we had been told it would arrive in the morning. A few of us had travelled in our walking boots and so three of us set out to Männlichen.  It started to rain and the clouds were low and on occasions the cloud was so low one looked up from an Alpine plant to see a "white-out" and no-one in sight.  We rarely saw a blue sky but it was idea for photographing the Alpine flowers. We returned from Kleine Scheidegg to Wengen by train and it was still raining!
