Valentia Island, Kerry Island

Valentia Harbour  from the north shore of Valentia Island
Valentia was the eastern terminus of the first commercially viable transatlantic telegraph cable. I discovered a slate quarry which provided slates for the British house of Parliament. Geokaun mountain and Fogher cliffs are the highest mountain on the island in the north of the island and paths lead one to the cliff top so one can view out to sea.
